Firearms are the most common weapon used to kill an intimate partner in the U.S.. Less acknowledged is the role that guns play in intimate partner violence (IPV) that doesn’t result in death. This presentation includes research findings, discusses the use of firearms to threaten intimate partners, and addresses prevention.
