Sally Wynn, Director of Legal Services for YWCA Spokane, describes the efforts in Spokane to develop standardized compliance processes that ensure people prohibited from having firearms by domestic violence protection order are turning in firearms in a safe and timely manner. As a Firearms Technical Assistance Project site, this was a critical part of Spokane’s strategy for reducing domestic violence firearm homicides.
