Author:Daniel W. Webster, Shannon Frattaroli, Eugenio Carral

In this webinar, originally titled Firearms in the Context of Severe and Fatal Domestic Violence, the faculty at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health discusses research on firearms in the context of severe and fatal domestic violence.

They address the risks posed by firearms of both homicide and suicide, health impacts of gun injuries, as well as prevention and retrieval initiatives. The system operative in the Miami-Dade courts for identification, surrender and retrieval, search and seizure, storage, and return is examined. Forms utilized in the firearms retrieval process are considered.
