Battered Women’s Justice Project and the National Center on Protection Orders and Full Faith & Credit

Since 1993, the Battered Women’s Justice Project (BWJP) has worked to improve the civil and criminal justice system’s response to intimate partner violence (IPV), as well as addressing the parallel responses of the military services to IPV among their ranks. BWJP offers training, technical assistance, policy analysis, and consultation on the most promising practices of the criminal and civil justice systems in addressing intimate partner violence. Staff members have particular expertise in assisting jurisdictions around the country to implement coordinated interagency responses to IPV that maximize victim safety and offender accountability.

The organization provides resources, knowledge and training to professionals working within the justice system.

AEquitas: The Prosecutors’ Resource on Violence Against Women

AEquitas’ mission is to improve the quality of justice in sexual violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, and human trafficking cases by developing, evaluating, and refining prosecution practices that increase victim safety and offender accountability. By working with governmental and nongovernmental NGOs, AEquitas helps create a contextualized, rather than uniform, approach to the pursuit of justice.

NIWRC dedicated to restoring the safety of Native women by upholding the inherent sovereignty of Native nations and building the capacity of Indigenous communities. Their work provides national leadership to create a strong grassroots movement that will increase the safety of Native women and increase domestic abuse response within tribes.
